During your full board horse riding holiday with us you will enjoy superb riding, have time to sunbathe on the beach and join in socialising over dinner. Our trails provide two fantastic days of beach horse riding, and three days of great forest riding. Each day is unique and includes lovely steady canters along sandy tracks and fast canters / gallops along firebreaks. Our horses are well schooled with kind manners and go at a pace our riders ask of them. Beach riding days are unforgettable, a dream come true! Between canters the pace is relaxed, making the most of this incredibly peaceful forest. Our horse riding holidays provide superb off road horse riding for competent riders.

Luxurious Hotel Accommodation.

We use the comfortable and well-appointed beach front hotel Adiafa for our accommodation. The hotel is excellent, and being family run is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located only 50 metres from the sea front, and has spacious twin-bedded rooms with on-suite bathroom. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and has free wi-fi internet connection. Solo travellers are allocated their own bedroom and guests travelling together are allocated shared bedrooms.

More Than A Horse Riding Adventure.

Your holiday base for the weeks horse riding is the seaside town of Barbate. The town provides a fantastic setting for an all-year-round holiday destination. The hotel is just a few metres from the town's beautiful 1km long fine sandy beach, ideal for relaxing and sunbathing after the day's horse riding has finished. However Barbate is much more than superb riding and a beautiful beach. The town has a lovely promenade with ice-cream parlours, bars, and restaurants. In the centre there is shopping, a lovely town square and a superb fish and fruit market. During your week with us you will experience our superb horse riding and the adventure of living in a typical Spanish town.

Friendly, Welcoming Groups.

Our full board equestrian holidays are ideal for both single and group bookings. We keep groups small so that our guests create a great friendly atmosphere. You will meet like-minded people and have new friends by the end of the horse riding holiday. The rides are led by ourselves, Steve and Caroline, and the maximum group is six riders. We provide a great value for money horse riding vacation that is a dream come true. All your needs will be taken care of so you can enjoy a stress-free horse riding holiday.

Adiafa Balcony Rooms with Sea View

The hotel is west facing and receives the afternoon sun. Rooms with a spacious balcony and sea view are available with the payment of a supplement. These balconies are perfect for sunbathing or chilling out watching the sun set. The basic cost of the holiday includes a room without a balcony and sea view.

Shared Bookings

Two guests travelling together will be allocated a shared twin bedroom. For three or more guests on a booking, shared twin and triple rooms will be allocated. All triple rooms have a balcony and sea view and the balcony upgrade for a triple use room will not be applied. A supplement can be paid by guests to guarantee single use bedrooms if preferred.

Solo Travellers

Solo travellers will be allocated a single use bedroom to themselves and a single room supplement will be charged.

Non Riders

Non riders are welcome, and the area is a good base for non riding vacations with many other sports available. The local public transport is good, and information can be provided on local places of interest.

Superb Food Options.

The holidays would not be complete without good food and drink. Buffet breakfasts are available at the Adiafa, and lunches are taken after the ride in traditional 'tapas' bars. Dinners are at quality restaurants in Barbate. All meals are typical ‘Andaluz’ with meat and fish dishes being served. Vegetarians can be catered for.

Hotel Adiafa Breakfast.

The hotel Adiafa has a buffet breakfast available for guests. Breakfasts can be prebooked with payment of a supplement, or if preferred can be paid for locally while you are here. The breakfast is a help yourself buffet, with cereals, fruit, cooked meats, eggs, croissants, toast, preserves, tea, coffee, etc. The supplement includes six breakfasts, Monday through Saturday. Sunday breakfast is not included due to our airport transfer time.

Flight Information

Flights to Malaga Airport.

Flights are available from most UK airports. Transfers from Malaga airport are included on Sundays with collection no later than 14:30 and return to Malaga arriving no earlier than 10:00.

Flights to Jerez and Gibraltar Airport.

Flights to Gibraltar and Jerez are available from various UK airports. Transfers from Gibraltar and Jerez airports are normally not included.

Equestrian Holidays Itinerary

Sunday. Your holiday starts at Malaga airport where guests are collected at 14:30 with transfer to Barbate. Over dinner the weeks holiday is discussed.

Monday. Collection for riding is from the hotel each day. Today's ride leads through the beautiful pine forest to the 17th century Mecca tower overlooking cape Trafalgar. This introductory ride allows you to get to know your horse, with the faster paces being introduced as your confidence grows.

Tuesday. Your first beach ride. The route leads through the pine forest to the beach ‘Hierbabuena’. Plenty of opportunities to canter, with a memorable beach gallop.

Wednesday. Today's we go to the cliffs overlooking Barbate. The ride has superb views of the surrounding mountains and on a clear day North Africa. Lots of long gentle canters.

Thursday. A day free from riding. An optional excursion to visit the Royal Spanish riding school at Jerez is available.

Friday. Today we head to the scene of the famous sea battle at Cape Trafalgar. Following the coast to El Palmar there is plenty of beach riding enjoying canters and gallops.

Saturday. On the final day the ride follows roller coasters of sand and allows plenty of opportunity to canter and gallop. The route joins the cliffs leading to Caños de Meca.

Sunday. Transfer to Malaga leaving Barbate at 07:30 to arrive at Malaga at 10:00.

Optional Extra

A trip to Jerez de la Frontera to see the Royal Spanish riding school is available. After the display there is time to visit either the Museo del Enganche or the tack shop nearby. Lunch is taken at a typical Spanish bar in Jerez.

Deposit & Balance Due:

• A deposit of £125 / 150 euros is required to secure the booking.
• The full balance will be due eight weeks before departure date.
• If the booking is made less than eight weeks before departure full payment is required.
