Why not join us on one of our three week long adventure holidays, or on one of our two week long end of year specials. These holidays are an economical way of enjoying a riding holiday by helping our groom care for the horses. Guests joining us on this programme will have a superb three week long equestrian holiday at a small percentage of our weekly rate. During your time here you will enjoy superb horse riding and the wonderful Spanish climate. Our routes provide fantastic beach and forest riding. Each ride includes steady canters along sandy tracks and fantastic gallops along firebreaks. Beach riding day is unforgettable, a dream come true!
Practical Equestrian Experience
While you are here with us you will gain a practical knowledge of horse care and management in a holiday environment. We are all very experienced equestrians here, and have a large pool of knowledge to share.
Specific skills covered will include:
- Feeding and routine health care of horses.
- Tacking up and correct fitting of the tack.
- The cleaning and care of tack.
- Riding and instruction where required.
- Basic veterinary skills.

Superb Accommodation
Your accommodation during your holiday with us will be in a three bedroom apartment that will be shared with our groom and the other adventure holiday guest. You will have your own bedroom with bedding and towels provided. The large apartment has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, washing machine and large roof terrace. There is English satellite TV and a good selection of English books and magazines.
Superb Self Catering Holiday
For 2009 we are offering our working holidays on a self catering basis. This gives you flexibility to explore the area and visit other towns and cities nearby. Our apartment has a fully fitted kitchen for cooking and preparing food. Alternatively there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in town offering takeaways or eating out. You would also be welcome to join our weekly guests and eat out in the evening if preferred. Our self catering option is an ideal choice for those on a tight budget.

How you will help us.
- Helping our groom for 2.5 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, two or three days a week. In total eight days are spent helping our groom.
- Exercising non-working horses when necessary.
- Helping guests prepare to ride their horses and offering advice where possible.
Time Period
Our working adventure holiday is for three week sessions, all year round. The end of year special is during the last two weeks of our season. There are two places available per starting date.
Transportation.
Working holiday guests will be met at Malaga Airport at 14:30 at the start of the holiday and returned to Malaga airport arriving at 11:00 at the end of the holiday.
Requirements
Guests on our working adventure holidays must be able to ride and handle a horse confidently, and will need to be reasonably physically fit. We have a weight limit of 13 stone (182 pounds, 82 kilos) and a minimum age of 18 but no upper age limit.
Additional Opportunities
While here you will experience a different culture and lifestyle to the full. The area is also ideal for many water sports, including windsurfing and sailing. Guests can go SCUBA diving or take certification classes at a nearby dive centre. You can go whale watching during the summer months nearby at Tarifa. Nocturnally, beach bars offer a nice atmosphere to have a drink and listen to music or the sound of the waves. The Royal Spanish Riding School and Gibraltar are interesting day trips. Other nearby places worth visiting are Cádiz, Tarifa and Vejer de la Frontera. Also due to the close proximity to north Africa, a day trip to Tangiers can also be arranged.

Working Holiday Availability
Please note that apart from our end of year special, which is two weeks long, each placement lasts for three weeks. The charts below list the dates that are currently available. The programme is very popular and places are taken up very quickly once dates are released. The charts are updated regularly and show availability as of 8th June 2009.

Costs
Costs are for one 21 day period, or for a 14 day period on our end of year special.
Flights, visas (where applicable) and insurance are not included. Equestrians must have fully comprehensive travel insurance.
To confirm your place for the three week holiday a deposit of 300 euros is required. Full payment for the three week holiday is due eight weeks before commencement date.
To confirm your place for the two week special holiday full payment is due on booking.
