Watch a Video of our Area
The Cadiz coastline, is one of the truly unspoilt areas in Europe, and is an ideal location for a horseback riding holiday. The province offers the colour, richness and diversity typical of Andalusia, a region that has captured people's imagination throughout time. Romans, Moors and people right up to modern day tourists have flocked to the region to sample the beauty of the landscape and the flavours of Andalucia. The best way to explore the region is from horse back, and the quality of our horses and the beauty of the landscape will add up to give you a horse riding holiday that you will enjoy and always remember.
Our horse riding holidays are based in the small seaside town of Barbate, a modern town of some 20.000 people. Located at the centre of a beautiful nature reserve, this typical Spanish town provides a perfect base for horse riding vacations. However Barbate isn't just horses. The town has a 2 km long golden sandy beach that is ideal for sunbathing after riding. The beach is lined by an idyllic promenade, that has a multitude of ice-cream parlours, bars and restaurants in which you can relax when you have had enough of the sun. For the more energetic of guests the area is ideal for shopping, or even a bit of sight seeing. The town is served by a good bus and taxi service that enables guests to visit some of the delightful towns in the vicinity, such as Vejer, or Zahara. Barbate is a town that can be discovered and enjoyed on vacation at any time of year, and you can be assured of being made very welcome by the friendly, local people.

Cape Trafalgar
The natural park of Barbate consists of spectacular cliffs, beautiful woods of umbrella pines and the marshes of the river Barbate. The park offers stunning views towards the African coastline and also towards cape Trafalgar and it's beaches. Home to teeming colonies of herring gulls and egrets, along with a stunning variety of wildflowers, herbs and palms. The park forms what is considered one of the most diverse and best-preserved parts of the Andalusian coast. The guides local knowledge is second to none, with almost fifteen years of leading trails in the area we are able to lead you to really spectacular places.
The routes are taken through the Barbate Nature Reserve which provides an extensive area ideal for exhilarating horseback riding. The forest floor is an all weather surface of sand just perfect for the horses. Throughout the park there are a multitude of tracks ideal for long canters. The park is also dissected by long and wide firebreaks ideal for a good gallop. We also have superb beaches that are every horse riders dream. The forest provides plenty of shade during the hotter months of the year, so it is never too hot for riding.
